About Our Business
New Beginnings Sanctuary was birthed out of the overwhelming need to provide a safe haven for teenage girls who are
in crises and are in transition often beyond the traditional or standard system of care. Some of the ways we plan to
provide help are as follows:
1. The primary activity of New Beginnings Sanctuary is to create an environment that will promote the teenage
girl and/or young adult women to develop skills in the following areas: life/social skills, workforce development,
education and literacy, and job readiness skills. This will be accomplished by linking individuals with resources in the
community and professionals who will provide their services.
2. The second activity is mentoring the teen and/or young adult with adult mentors that are on the same career or
desired life plan. The professional will become life coaches and help the teen to transition throughout their career
path.
3. The third activity is to provide the teen and/or young adult women the opportunity to experience travel and
cultural experiences. For example, taking them to New York to see a Broadway play or going to Washington, DC to
see the Smithsonian. These experiences will broaden their way of thinking and realm of possibilities.
4. The fourth activity is to create an advisory council consisting of the target population that will create and gather
resources for women who have their similar life experiences.
5. The fifth activity is to provide support though a collective group of people providing spiritual support through faith
based community.
6. The Sixth activity we will provide individual as well as group counseling. Some of the topics of discussion will be
“sex education”, “parenting skills”, “Successful relationships (i.e. parent, family, and friend)”. “How to budget
finances”.
I truly believe this organization will be life changing for hundreds and thousands of girl’s overtime. My endeavor is to
make sure that these girls/and or young women understand that it is never too late to turn into the beautiful
butterflies I know they are inside. Will you believe with me?
